About Alexia & Julia
Money Smart Kids is hosted by Alexia and Julia — two sisters on a mission to make money make sense for kids. Every episode takes a big financial idea (compound interest, insurance, supply and demand) and turns it into a story that kids ages 6–12 actually want to listen to.
The show was born from a simple observation: kids ask amazing questions about money — Where does it come from? Why is gold valuable? Who pays when things break? — but most answers are written for adults. Alexia and Julia answer them kid-to-kid, with games, jokes, and real examples from everyday life.
Each episode is short enough for a car ride and comes with dinner-table questions and a hands-on family activity, so the learning keeps going after the audio stops. Financial literacy is one of the most important life skills a kid can build — and it's never too early (or too fun) to start.
Why Financial Literacy for Kids? 💡
Money habits start forming in childhood — long before a first paycheck or bank account. Kids who learn to save, wait, compare prices, and ask questions about money grow into adults who budget, invest, and avoid debt traps. Money Smart Kids gives families a fun, pressure-free way to start those conversations early.
